You might be able to ask artists to send via a private courier like DHL. There are lots out there that do what your gov wants, duty paid before it enters the country (DDP). It's just quite a bit more expensive for smaller artists who don't ship in bulk.

USA:

I've been told that Aus Post may be forced to stop accepting ALL parcels to USA because of impossible demands they are being forced to comply with.

We have a plan for while Aus Post builds infrastructure so the regime can pretend that their citizens aren't paying an import tax.

Friendly suggestion for artists that have a business account with a card associated~

Make a dedicated savings account and only move money across as you plan to use it, don't let it sit there where someone could yoink it!

I've just had someone fraudulently use my business

You'd think it wouldn't keep getting worse, but it does. It really is being felt globally, how one person has that much influence is insane to me.

I don't blame those artists, its a headache, and so many in the US are wheeling on people sending to the US when they're asked to pay tariffs.

Due to America's unpredictable tariffs, our US based material manu has raised their prices by, in some cases, over 25%, without warning, despite re-assuring us prices wouldn't change.
