Another nibling birthday cake in the books! Strawberry cake with whipped icing and buttercream. The best reward was that the 3 year old recognized it immediately!

Hubby’s been sick with a cold since we got home from California. Tested negative for Covid, Flu A & B. He’s feeling better, but I don’t want to get it so I’ve been sleeping on the couch with the birds. I knew Popcorn cheeps in her sleep, but tonight she’s having a full on conversation with someone.

Hubby’s been sick with a cold since we got home from California. Tested negative for Covid, Flu A & B. He’s feeling better, but I don’t want to get it so I’ve been sleeping on the couch with the birds. I knew Popcorn cheeps in her sleep, but tonight she’s having a full on conversation with someone.
Crap crap crap crap crap I have to put away alllll the earrings from last weekend, pull inventory and label them to drop off at a show TOMORROW and I just got a box of pretties and there’s sooooo much I can do with these and aaaahhhh!!!! ⌛️⌛️⌛️

Nephew loved his Big Ben cake (giant stack of wafer cookies held together and coated with royal icing) and chowed down on it instead of the actual cake. (Please remember I’m *NOT* a baker or cake decorator, professional or otherwise. I do this just to have fun and see how far I can push my skills.)

October 15 is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. I’ve had 2 or 3 miscarriages. 2 were confirmed at 22 weeks and ~8 weeks gestation, and the third was likely although it was so early I didn’t take a pregnancy test. I don’t feel like talking about it much today, maybe another time.

You never know what you’ll find at the wine store. Four bottles 10-year-old Tobin James Ballistic Zinfandel were forgotten on the bottom shelf and collecting dust when they were saved from their purgatory. The cork from the first bottle broke, but the wine itself tasted great! Cheers! 🍷🍷
