I still believe that a big enough deal was NOT made out of how gorgeously fetishy the Barbie movie was. I think the issue is that it is also one of the most perfect pieces of feminist media I have ever seen and IMO you MUST fetishize it while respecting that. (I say this as a misogyny fetishist!)

90% of the time if someone cites a study, I automatically distrust what they're saying because most people don't actually read the study and those who do rarely seem to understand it or understand how it could be flawed. This holds true for people with degrees
