I used to have a career in the music biz. Now I mostly write about how the creatures in my life: dogs, horses and an occasional cat and canary boss me around.
When Tuff snores it's pretty cute.

The Budweiser Clydesdales are taking a short break at El Campeon before the Super Bowl, so of course I went to see them. Apparently I'm a Draft Horse stalker now.

Because will all need something sweet.Tuff is the only dog on the couch-I know! Shocking!- but he is sitting on me. Such a sweet old man. I still can't believe his people didn't want him. I lucked out.

ICE agent asked why he's taking pictures of a legal observer's car, replies: "Cuz we have a nice little database and now you're considered a domestic terrorist. So have fun with that."

When I swept up the tail and dumped it out it was still wriggling. You are welcome

I slide the paper underneath, most of the lizard zips out and the tail remains. Wiggling and curling and wiggling. I'm sure you heard the screams where you are. I did calm down enough to trap the main part of the lizard and bring him outside. 3/4

This happens occasionally when I leave the doors open. I grabbed a bowl, with the plan of pooping it over the lizard and sliding a paper underneath and dumping said it outside. First attempt the lizard got away. Later I spotted it in my bedroom. This time I think I get it, but 2/3

I am traumatized. Not in a WTF is happing in this country (but that too). But in a 'I will see this in my nightmares forever' way. I was cleaning my house (I know, crazy!) and I saw a small, very skinny lizard in my bedroom.1/3

My old man (14 years!)Tuff splatted badly jumping off the couch last night. He hasn't broken anything, but is three-legged and in pain. This morning he insisted on hopping along for a very short walk. I've always hated the name he came with two years ago, but it fits. He will be going to the vet.

After all the rain I actually have a ton if grass in my backyard. Since I don't have any horses at home (for now) I borrowed Sasha and Summer for a few hours. Cutest lawn mowers ever!

@kathygriffin.bsky.social I see you here! But I was getting your feed on threads too. I like that this is zuck- free tho.

I am terrified. It took @hcrichardson.bsky.social to explain to me why I was having such a visceral reaction and that I wasn't crazy.

Lake Liveten is is full view. I'm glad the minis are here yet, it would be up to their knees. Who am I kidding, they would probably have moved into the house. The good news is that when it stops raining it mostly drains quickly.

Happy National Day of the Horse. I am lucky enough to have had a great ride (we're jumping again!!!) on Teddy and a trail ride on Layla!

Jasper met Santa Claus today and was so brave! He didn't even care when the ankle biter in line behind us tried to attack him. Or the guy in front pulled out a snake! Santa definitely doesn't get paid enough.

I got a mini cow! Okay, it's not really what I'd hoped for, but Otto and Chunk look excited. Or as excited as skeleton horses can be.

I have barely moved since I got to Mom's house on Monday night. It is not my fault. Clearly.
