Slovakia advocates for postponing the full-scale #ETS2 implementation.

#ETS2 must be revisited in light of shifted geopolitical context & subsequent negative socioeconomic developments. Otherwise, we risk putting excessive burden on already vulnerable citizens & businesses.

We welcomed discussion on the electrification of EU industry, as Slovakia 🇸🇰 has one of the highest shares of industry in GDP among MS, with significant part of hard-to-electrify sectors.

Crucial role of #nuclear in decarbonisation must be acknowledged in line w/ technology neutrality.

We´ve been supporting #Ukraine 🇺🇦 in mitigating impacts of war on its energy sector & in contributing to its reconstruction & modernization. We remain ready to do so.

#Slovakia 🇸🇰 has enabled >60 GWh of emergency electricity supplies (since 2022) & provides capacity to fully cover 🇺🇦 gas demand.

- reinforce nat. capacity building
- strengthen preparedness & emergency response
- allow more flexible use of budget
- include health preparedness

Regarding Crisis Coordination Hub we need more ℹ on its functioning.

Standing Corps should provide complementary support to MS.🛂

In terms of cooperation with third countries Frontex should be more flexible.

Given the structure of 🇸🇰agriculture, proposed mandatory degressivity & capping of direct payments will affect 80% of cultivated area, incl. most productive farms, & would be devastating for our farmers
