After that they spend the remaining points on their stats. There are two caveats though. 1. If any player has fewer then 3 lore bits, they lose 20 or so points. 2. The dm then gets to add lore bits to that character (at least up to 3 but not limited to only 3)

Another ttrpg character creation idea: Everyone starts with 80 - 100 points. And comes up with a couple one sentence lore ideas. The gm collects them all and has an auction. Were the players bid their points to add that lore to their character.

Silly d&d/ttrpg idea: All players start with a 1 sentence backstory. Each session they add another one.

Alternatively: Everyone comes up with a couple of lines of random character lore. These lines are then randomly distributed to all the players. These lines then become cannon for their character
