Like an entire video can have its revenue get stripped for a small clip, and that to me, is crushing.

Its debatable.

I still come across old videos i rewatch over and over, and sometimes audio is cut out and its because, for god knows why, even a brief clip of a song that was fine before, gets copyrighted and the video becomes weird without it
