Tip of the day for those who value audio quality, especially in cinematic works:

try turning off 'Stable Volume' on YouTube

It's on by default, and compresses dynamic range - makes quiet sounds louder, and loud sounds quieter - eliminating all nuance from the source material

The only vids on my channel that have been picked up by content ID are unedited portions of the show (i.e. V5 Redux, Oscar Character Short etc)

In my eyes, this isn't a company clapping back against fan content - if anything it's the opposite; allowing fan content to exist AND support Viz directly

Yes, Viz is now copyright claiming #RWBY videos on YouTube, no I'm not worried. To be clear, this is a CLAIM, not a block or a strike. RT's default was to block worldwide; unblocking manually when asked by email
