What I had known as a child was that they'd planned to not have any children so it was very healing to learn they had in fact always celebrated the making of me. How old were you when they presented your locket? I hope you still have it!

Happy C-Day to you and your parents! 😇 Your story is a balm ... in my 30s I found an anniversary card from my father to my mother dated a half year from their wedding anniversary. I quizzed my father, who smiled warmly and said that they'd always celebrated my C-Day. (I'd never known that.) Gah!! 😀

So much of everything is terrible but last night I caught sight of gentle moonlight on the Mississippi River as it flowed past a riot of colorful neon lights at the Big Dam Street Fair in Keokuk, Iowa. 🌙⛴️🎡🎠YouTube rocks!

At 8 p.m. on September 26th the figures of a few people in the foreground appear tiny under the blaze of colorful neon lights on more than seven rides filling the middle ground, and the glow of the waxing moon highlights the river flowing by in the background.
