10yrs in & every M*GA defector continues to remind me of this line from Quiz Show:

“I'm happy that you've made the statement. But I cannot agree with most of my colleagues. See, I don't think an adult of your intelligence should be commended for simply, at long last, telling the truth.”

Can’t believe people are pitching new SCOTUS shows while my spec script for William O. Douglas: Vampire Hunter is just sitting in a pile somewhere, SMH.
What would actually work great is a TV show about the *nineteenth* century supreme court, where (per @rachelshelden.bsky.social's straight FIRE forthcoming book) all this implausible activity by the Justices was just another day in the Capitol basement ballsandstrikes.substack.com/p/a-brief-hi...
A Brief History Of Awful TV Shows About the Supreme Court
The concept of “The West Wing for the Supreme Court” might be the only thing more upsetting than the actual Supreme Court.

Cleaning house & listening to SCOTUS tariff argument. So far my biggest take away is that people should not elect a a malevolent & dangerously incompetent sociopath to be the nation’s chief executive.

(Possible confirmation bias here cuz this is one of my priors.)

Sorry, Pluribus. But somebody in the hive would know that the accent is on the last syllable of Guaraní.

Impeach.
The font would appear to be English 111 Adagio CE, available for the highly presidential sum of just $39.75 USD

Note "The" is not kerned correctly

I wonder if the United States can learn anything from the last time *the United States* decided to isolate itself from the rest of the world?

*by “critters” she means Pokemon.

What you have to appreciate, is that a lot of people are just really dense.
Dr. Oz says Americans will lose an average of 397 pounds per person by the midterm elections. So you better get busy!

What if the sandwich case fails cuz they can’t figure out what a sandwich is? If that happens, my work on the internet will be done and I will ascend to the Lords of Kobol.

Swim meet listening take: I wonder what it was like to be a middling rock drummer in 1969 and hearing John Bonham drumming on Good Times Bad (Zeppelins first album track 1) for the first time. Like, what is even going on?

Hypothesis: Companies claiming layoffs are driven by newly discovered AI-related efficiencies are mostly using vague claims about AI as cover for layoffs driven by market conditions (or bad management).

I dreamt last night that I had to speak at an academic conference, but had accidentally only packed a disco-era wedding tuxedo with a very frilly tuxedo shirt & impractically huge collars. I decided it was less embarrassing to present without a shirt, so that’s what I did. DMs open psychoanalysts.
