Trump is using national security as an excuse to impose new tariffs on kitchen cabinets.

This is what happens when “damage to national security” has no clear definition.

It leads to overclassification and more government secrets.

Watch @laurenleharper.bsky.social explain.

My BFF was just at the grocery store in Toronto 🇨🇦 & scored a well marbled piece of 🇦🇺 beef for her family’s Thanksgiving dinner. Not too $$$, apparently. She&spouse walked away from their cart … & someone swiped the 🍖 ! She did get a smaller not as nice one. But may the swiper burn their dinner! 🤬

Oof I'm down a rabbit hole trying to parse this line in this article:

"According to a 2017 Fraser Institute report, the average after-tax income for a significant majority of independent school families is comparable to, or even slightly less than, the average income for public school families"

This method yielded an "average parental income" for public school kids to be $97,301.

For private school kids, it was $130,127.

They then excluded "elite" private schools.

And when you look only at "non-elite" private schools, the "average parental income" is $95,549.
Screenshot of column chart from the Fraser Institute report showing their calculations of "parental income" for public schools ($97,301), private schools ($130,127), "non-elite" private schools ($95,459) and "elite" private schools ($192,265).

It's been 200 days since masked government goons abducted Rümeysa Öztürk for writing an op-ed they didn't like.

She's no longer behind bars, but they're still trying to deport her, and they still don't want the public to know why.
The U.S. government is hiding Öztürk records. Its rationale is insulting
If the government was really concerned about protecting privacy, it wouldn’t have abducted and detained Öztürk for writing an op-ed
