Software engineer, bicycle rider, sometime pianist, lover of books, music and travel. My visualization portfolio is at https://sneakerfish.com
I built a Python agent! 🤖

My new open-source tool, "Auto Status Report," scans GitHub commits, processes the data, & uses an Ollama LLM to write daily or weekly dev summaries. It's designed for automation with Jenkins.

I built a RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) chatbot using Ollama and ChromaDB to create a fully local, private AI assistant. It can answer questions about any set of documents you provide.

I once read that culture is what could be recreated by society from memory if, suddenly, all of the books and movies and artworks disappeared. I often think about that when people are judging artworks, but especially when they are ranking them.

I created a website for the Boston Community Chamber Music group. On the recaps page, you can see videos of some performances in the past year. www.bostonccm.org

I am in a community chamber music group. One group played this trio yesterday. Listen for how the otherworldly high notes leading the melody at the beginning are the cello and not the violin. This version from Youtube is worth a watch. www.youtube.com/watch?v=KgVv...

‘I’ve rewritten the passage to align more with the J. Bree style’ appeared in the middle of a tense scene with a scaled dragon prince.

Did you know…
Purple isn’t real.
It’s a pigment of the imagination!

Purple exists only in our brains
Most colors represent a single wavelength of light. But your brain invents purple to deal with wavelengths from opposite ends of the visible spectrum.

I want to share an excellent resource for #dataviz from the Financial Times. It is their Visual Vocabulary describing names and use cases of a wide variety of visualizations. www.ft.com/content/c7bb...

#intro I am interested in #datavis, #database, piano, cycling, and cooking. I have many years of experience as a software engineer, mainly creating web applications with database backends. I have recently been studying data science and data visualization.
