My retro area in 4 pics. Old pics at that. lol 11 consoles hooked up to those tv's.
No surprise here. Love a classic beat em up. Had a couple friends over and played start to finish, took about 90 minutes. Great visual appeal, beautiful animations. A joy to play.

Another down. Blood Wake on the OG Xbox. Twisted Metal in boats. Waaay too many escort missions. Game could've been cut in 1/2 and been better for it. Multiplayer arena combat is something I'd like to try with it at some point though. Visually very good, decent music, and fun gameplay.

Short game coming thick and fast now. LOL Super Monkey Ball on the Gamecube. The Monkeyballs are all underrated.

Getting toward the end of the year and my usual goal of beating 1 game on each system I own is getting hard with little time left. Decided to do PS1 and 2 today. Time Crisis and Vampire Night. Both Lightgun shooters. TC wasn't too bad, VN was hard as hell. Both of course are well worth your time.

I do not regret being part of the problem, buying the updated version and sinking another 14hrs into it. The PS5 release is gorgeous and the game is so fun to play through. Also, now having dumped the online trophies I went for the plat too.

This evening I'll be playing Super Turrican 2 for the SNES. I believe I recall not particularly caring for the first so we'll see whether I feel 2 is an improvement. Considering the nearly identical box art I'm doubtful. Join me at 8pm CST over at twitch.tv/snesislife

Finished Journey on my PS3. Even though I was playing it on the old system I did still run into 2 people. I think the game probably loses some on that point, I feel the intention is to run into lots of people. Beautiful game, very serene. A nice sit down and just chill game.

There was some commotion about it being pretty bad at release, but a year later with updates I thought Star Wars Outlaws was fine. Lot of side content in the game, I could see it overstaying. I did some side stuff; but mostly main lined it myself and took 28 hours. Worth a shot if your a SW fan.

Weeks late due to illness but I finally finished my Oct. game which was Alan Wake on the 360. It's a neat concept and a cool idea; but to me the game was overlong and the controls were pretty rough at times. I can appreciate it; but I can't say that I recommend it.

Wrapped Ninja Gaiden Ragebound and boy is that an apt name. This game is hard as balls. I really dug the remixed old music they brought back though and the art is pretty great. Definitely worth playing; but equally frustrating as the originals.

Having gotten the Platinum in Ghost of Yotei; I decided to turn my PS4 on and wrap up the last of the side stuff on Tsushima. Great games these two were. Yotei's platinum I felt was a little more aligned to the general question. Had to go out of my way for some of the stuff in Tsushima.

Finished Dispatch. That was a really enjoyable story and one that I would've happily just watched as like a regular film as opposed to playing it as a game. Well worth the money to check out if you're on the fence.

Finished Ghost of Yotei after 42 hours. Got 42/54 trophies. Tempted to plat it. It was just as enthralling as I found Tsushima years ago. The combat is fluid and fulfilling. Assassinations are fun and gore filled. An absolutely fantastic game.
