The frosts earlier in the week have decimated the top growth of these Pilea, Impatiens, Hemiboa and Isodon, most should come back in the spring, although some of the pileas will have been killed outright, fortunately plenty of cuttings in the greenhouse. #fairviewyearround

I guess any tree with sequoia in its name should be planted with a degree of caution. This Metasequoia glyptostroboides is about 30 years old and I can’t help wondering how long it will be before it overpowers the garden. It’s a fabulous thing though. #fairviewyearround
