Ahead of the EU's first ever Anti-poverty Strategy coming next year, we welcome yesterday's @europarl.europa.eu EMPL Committee report outlining key priorities for eradicating poverty, including a call for adequate minimum income for all 🙌 #endpoverty #OverthePovertyLine
To truly eradicate poverty, the EU needs concrete measures and binding action. That’s why the renewed call for adequate minimum income in the EMPL Committee report is a welcome step forward. However, this ambition must be backed up with sufficient resources. It’s essential that the next EU budget prioritises social investment and poverty reduction.
