I heard this song the other day in my car. It was a favorite of my late Dad, who sang it passionately in the shower when I was a child. It is best known as the tune from the 1965 Broadway Musical “The Man of La Mancha."

When my boys were young, I would read this speech from the book Lend Me Your Ears, Great Speeches in History by William Safire.
I sent them this video as young adults, which was an excellent version.
