Yes, a lot of advocates had high hopes for GLP-1 drugs and how they may prevent or treat dementia.

But as our dear friend, Dr. Ron Petersen, also noted: the study may not have included the right dosage or even right measurement or stage of cognitive decline.

So again... hope.

Bummer.

It’s not exactly the breakthrough research we were hoping for…

But all good research – as we know – is nuanced.

And so… we patiently persist with hope.

A conversation with this world-renowned neurologist and Director of the Mayo Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center is always wonderful.

Today’s conversation is no exception, as “Dr. Ron” shares more about a new tool to predict dementia risk years BEFORE symptoms begin...

The Notebook.

The love story that especially resonates with those who also know the Alzheimer's or other dementia story.
Please note the powerful reminder within this beautiful Ordway production: You are not alone.

Who among us hasn’t loved this love story?

And for those of us in the extended #Alzheimer’s & other #dementia family: Who among us hasn’t found that story to especially resonate during our own dementia experiences?

Schele and Molly's perspectives are beautiful… and worth listening to every word.
I was so honored to talk with the Co-Director of “The Notebook, The Musical,” Schele Williams, AND Communications VP at Alzheimer’s Association, MN-ND, Molly McMillen, about this poignant new production of a beloved story.

Uff da... Those numbers speak volumes about our caregiver crisis. But we can find support -- the AARP caregiving guide (below) is one beautiful and profound example.

Please allow the latest numbers from @aarp.org speak for themselves:

* 63 million Americans are family #caregivers.

* That’s also 20 million MORE family caregivers than in 2015.

Clearly, you're not alone, friends. But you're also not alone when it comes to support:

Trust me... In this 22-minute, 26-second film, you will fall in love with the film’s star, Dan, and his entire care team…
And you'll also see the compassion of the filmmaker, who himself lost his dad to FTD. Beautiful, all around. 💜

In a new film, Chris Hemsworth joins other celebrities who've courageously come forward with their own #caregiving or #dementia connections.

WHY does this matter?

Because every voice helps every person touched by caregiving or dementia feel... just a little less alone.

My podcast partner, Ron Stover, ranks this as one of our best “Hello Alzheimer’s” episodes yet.

I agree with him (though I’ve loved every single conversation)… But this one is just so poignant, as it explains how to walk alongside our children during the dementia marathon. 💜
