My late dog, Sasha, took serious issue with dogs wearing clothing. If she saw one at the dog park, she would immediately start harassing it and I had to take her home.

In the 80s, there was no Warhammer, so the bored troops were the ones most likely to get in trouble. The closest they got to Warhammer was throwing stars the machinists made ... throwing them at each others' crotches. That was fun.

One aspect that has not yet been mentioned in others' comments is this: Being married to an alcoholic can be *very* expensive. Unfortunately, I know from experience.

Way back when I took a "Post War German Literature" class. All of it was painful. The shame, the guilt were passed down the generations. I was in Germany in the 80s and younger folk were beginning to resist that burden.

Years ago when I wore contacts, I eventually could not see up close. (Had to wear reading glasses to see what was on my dinner plate) Got contacts with one near and one far Rx. Supposedly, it takes about 2 weeks for the brain to adapt.

My understanding is that older folks are more likely to become conservative because they have more to lose. They are also more susceptible to scams, and tend to be more fearful of a changing world. And some people are just born that way. Fortunately, I'm not one of them.
