When I worked with the Young Republicans they were always polite to ME.

The Academy has unfairly denied Trump the Oscar award he deserves. (Kidding--of course they would give him the award.)

However long Trump wants to be there is exactly the appropriate amount of time. The studio boss said so.

The obvious choice isn't Barron, it's everyone's favorite action hero himself--Donald Trump

Liberals still don't believe it's wrong for them or anyone else to love Vance. Or Trump for that matter.

The worse part is, Democrats don't intend to end their defensive crouch after winning the 2028 election. They plan to stay in the crouch through 2029, accomplish nothing, then lose the 2030 midterms in order to be powerless again.

One of the key features of turn-of-the-millennium America was George W. Bush endlessly making inarticulate, nonsensical speeches and the press swearing that was "authenticity". The point is, however a prominent right-winger is talking will be described by professional journalists as "the right way".

It doesn't matter that they're lying about the ship's steering being flawless, because they don't intend to take it anywhere. They faced challenges when governing from 2009-10 and decided the lesson is "never try to govern again".

I doubt it. The story of America's Discourse over the past several decades has been every Advanced Politics Knower falling for shit over and over, never learning a thing in the process.

Mainly because people also underestimate how much DC Democrats like insisting "sadly we can't accomplish anything because the courts said no"

Though the Democrats still wouldn't have done many resistance things even if all members were present--they'd just have had the requisite number of Dems vote with the GOP, or fail to vote or forget to show up or whatever.

We'll be hearing all about Trump's plan for a strategic Bolonium reserve

"We've still picked an undeserving violent right-winger recipient of the peace prize, but it's someone other than Trump so we're owed your applause" is not as compelling an argument as they apparently believe.

During Biden's term people blamed him for high prices because their newspapers and TV told them daily that it was his doing. That's not going to happen with Trump. Without similar news stories, they'll just see high prices as "something that happened" and will probably assume Trump is fixing it.

I still believe Trump will, eventually, receive the Nobel Peace Prize. Because every other institution in the entire fucking world has accepted bribes or slunk off in cowardice and given him everything else he's ever wanted, and it's asking a lot of the Nobel people to be the one group that doesn't.

I don't live inside right-wingers' heads, but seems to me Trump is far better at appealing to them than Bush. W was an asshole and broke laws and killed people and laughed about how nobody could stop him, but Trump does all these things to the 10th power and also plenty more that Bush never did.

It's not just his aides. Fox News, and all the other networks to a lesser but real extent, have made a choice over most of the past decade to fraudulently describe the entirety of Portland as a burned-down active war zone.

Yes, they see Trump as targeting people they also hate, so they're still perfectly comfy and don't believe Trump is being lawless.

In recent decades the Right adopted as their hero archetype "belligerent loudmouth who always rants and also shouts in libs' faces". Which really is not that easy to do well, even for people who under certain circumstances are paid good money to yammer without giving opponents a chance to talk back.

Normie voters can recognize when politicians believe the other side is doing something really bad. They see examples all the time when Republicans talk about Democrats. If Democrats really wanted normies to think Republicans are misbehaving they'd have to act like it!

Bad politics, but Jon Lovitz has always been funny.

I get all the perspective I need on the journalism profession by glancing at the NYT front page every day. With the world on fire and the president, in the past day, announcing plans to eliminate Democrats and invade Venezuela, the NYT today depicts the world and Trump as completely ho-hum normal.

The donors you're talking about are incredibly self-centered people. If the overall effect of Trump's actions is to leave them in a financial hole, then sure they will vocally oppose him. Apparently we aren't there yet.
