❤️ Outdoors, nature & amateur wildlife photography. Keen Birder & naturalist around Somerset & beyond. My own 📷 +📱 🐦 🐦‍⬛🦅🦉🦆🦢🦋🐝🪰🦇🦟🐞🦎🪱🦌🦡🦔🐬🐳🦭
In my opinion, I suggest this should be reposted by as many birders as possible. It’s just not good enough ☹️😒
Not something I would normally post but in last 24hrs 3 birds & bad story's, The tern on exe Estuary & 3 muppets chasing it in a boat. Baikal teal at abbottsbury when Steve Groves posts do not go beyond the teeth. And you can't tell me no strong light was used in scops owl pics. Sad. #UKBirding.

Some Birders put their own interests ahead of birds. Their reasons, whether wanting to ‘shake a bird’s hand(wing) or ‘getting that perfect shot’ are disrespectful & can cause distress to the bird. Call themselves Birders 🤔 Thanks for putting this out there mate. Very sad & worrying ☹️

Walking up to Turf from Powderham this boat came past heading for the LC Tern, we quickly set up scope on tern as sure it would be spooked. And yes they did just that😡 in front of many birders. LCT flew off and boat headed back down past us. Here they are, well ****** done😡😡!

Great morning at Wall Common (Steart), where highlights included a Short-eared Owl, Grey Plover, 100’s of Golden Plover & Curlew & circa 5000 Dunlin, most which formed an amazing murmuration 😍
