The protests did not stop, they only spread and grew larger. Sanctions being placed, weapons deals being withdrawn, a majority of the UN walking out on Netanyahu's speech. The protesters are not (or no longer) the minority, those who sneered at them are.

One thing I really want to say is do not let anyone convince you that it is naive to be angered by evil, that it is foolish to call out injustice. Do not let anyone deceive you into thinking that apathy and indifference is wisdom, that they are smarter than you for not caring.
