Ministerial discretion would be a fatal flaw in these laws.

With 19 ecosystems on the brink of collapse we need our environment laws to work.
Decisions on project approvals must not be at the discretion of the minister but by an independent, trustworthy EPA.

Albanese is right - democracy does need defending, including on our own shores. That's why I submitted an application to obtains a copy of the Briggs Review into 'Jobs for mates' (it's been 2 years since it was commissioned). I'm still waiting and not holding my breath.
