I never learned how to do art digitally, so I always work with traditional media, usually pencils (graphite and colored), pens, Sharpies, and alcohol markers.

Here’s a few pieces I’ve done over the past year, to give you an idea:

When I ditched being a creator on YT, I wanted a fresh tagline.

Sherry's a nickname I picked up in college (but treat more like my name than my actual name), while "Soundside" is a play on "Southside" b/c I'm from the Deep South, and "by the sound" as in music & Puget Sound

When I was born my foster parents named me Robert (Robbie for short), but about 3 months later when my adoption became official, my parents named me Kevin Robert. My mom liked the name Kevin.

I did not learn this fact about my "first" name until I was like 43.

It’s only my first season actively keeping up with the Mariners, and I still got goosebumps watching them win tonight—first postseason win at home in almost a quarter of a century

Trying to juggle watching both the Mariners and the Sounders tonight, first time watching playoff baseball and the vibes are incredible… I kinda don’t want to tune away, but it’s also Bonfire Night for the Sounders.

A friend suggested I do a Spooky Month icon of my ‘sona as Dimentio, and while I think I could have been a little more creative with adapting the design, I’m still pleased with how this turned out!

Wearing my influences on my sleeve, as it were. 🃏 🧙‍♂️

Sharpie and alcohol marker illustration of this user’s stand-in/persona character as Dimentio, a villain from the video game Super Paper Mario. Super Dimentio’s green cap has also been incorporated into the design to mimic the stand-in’s hat, while Dimension D is used for the background. Finer details were added with gel pens and colored pencil.

Haven’t thought about YGO in ages, but I have a friend trying to sell me on the Labyrnth archetype specifically because she thinks I’d like the design of its main monster.

It is, in fact, working.

Haven't been able to come up with much in the way of spooky icon ideas for the month, so I may just default to the zombie idea that I do every year.

I'm open to suggestions, though, since I'll probably try to work on it today or tomorrow, whatever it is.
