I was born and raised in the states – Cincinnati, to be exact. But I lived in London in 1984, and we try to spend time in England every year. It’s very much been our home away from home for decades now.

No, not at all. Commercials during the World Series are enormously expensive, and eliminating the ghost runner allows for much more advertising time. And revenue.
If MLB is acknowledging anything, it’s their greed.

If you’ve not read his autobiography, All The Rage, it’s one of the best. Like sitting one stool down the bar from a brilliant and tireless raconteur.
