TODAY'S EVENT CANCELLED!

Good morning all! With the Amber weather warning still in place this morning & the weather looking to get worse between 0800-0900 we have taken the decision to cancel today’s event to ensure the safety of our volunteers & participants

Busy day today welcoming many neighbours from Burgess parkrun and other tourists, with 632 runners and walkers and 32 volunteers - thank you!

140 participants were new to Southwark, 39 were new to parkrun, and milestones included Vicky's 400th!

We had 619 fabulous finishers today, ably assisted by 42 amazing volunteers, thank you, and welcome to all the first timers!

Next week (10th May) sees the return of pacing week, with Wapping Running Club supplying a fabulous team of volunteers! Pacers from 19 to 40 minutes 🏃‍♀️

It may have been below zero this morning, but 37 amazing volunteers put on a lovely event for 537 participants on a sunny winter's morning 😎

On 11th Jan the police will be joining us. They will be giving crime prevention advice, marking bikes and handing out free bike marking kits, courtesy of @lb-southwark.bsky.social. So do join us, especially if you want to get your bike marked!

This Saturday is our annual Tinsel Run, when festive wear is welcomed and encouraged! 🌲🎅

We're very pleased that we were able to go ahead today, with some minor adjustments to make things safe. Huge thanks to the hardy volunteers, who helped 389 people run, jog or walk around the course, including a pacing team from Wapping Running Club
