the original game did what they're doing so much better. music and mood deriving from the burton films and designs and characters taking inspiration from the animated series. it pulls from more than just that but it all blends together cohesively.

i am really not feeling the new lego batman game man. gameplay might be fun, especially if they're taking inspiration from arkham but the voice acting and general vibe of the game just pulling designs and characters from the most popular pieces of batman media really rubs me the wrong way.

i'm usually not this anal about choices like this, like i didn't care that ss86 ironhide didn't have the yellow stripe or ss86 prime's cab not having the silver stripe (it's animation accurate, to a fault) but this is completely differrent, i wouldn't even say this is trying to be more accurate-

accuracy will make concessions when needed (even on this figure, tank alt. instead of a gun which i get) but i'm just flabbergasted by this decision lmao. toy looks good in every other aspect i'm just annoyed by the color choices

i'll wait until the 40th anniversary version next year to pick it up

benefit of the doubt his legs are supposed to be a lighter gray on the animation model but where the fuck did the sand blue color come from
