It's absolutely no secret that there's an unfairly weighted hammer looming over queer and disabled creators on Twitch.

Regardless of what was actually 'flagged,' an instant permanent suspension for it is unacceptable on a platform where hate speech and harassment go unchecked daily.

Twitch just permanently suspended my partner Lillie (@lillie_garden) without warning. The reason was the vaguest claim of "serious threats of violence" I've ever seen. None of the context in the stream was put into consideration. No further explanation. He hadn't even received prior strikes. Just a-

Back on Monday, sorry gang. Can't talk - literally! Too sick!
Since I'm incapable of talking, I'll have to take a bit of a long weekend here. Sorry for only two streams this week, I can absolutely assure you this is an outlier - my track record speaks to that. There will be make up streams/hours in the coming weeks. I'm totally fine, if a bit bummed, that the one thing I need to go live (my voice!) just won't come back, but not stressing it is gonna make next week a lot easier to get into the swing of. In the meantime, if you're looking for something to fill the timeslot, I once more recommend checking out the stream team page; Bug Friends. (Links in additional comments) Matter of fact, the magnificent @RAW JUST WENT LIVE and has just started the last arch of Anger Foot, a game that's kind of like Hotline Miami taking place in a universe occupied by piss muppets. Raw likely needs no introduction here, but he's someone who took a chance on me years ago on a one off raid in a random, tiny indie game category, and I've considered him an inspiration and a friend ever since (and he gets real mad when I say those two things, which is extra funny). As usual, I'll just add that the VOD channel is over here to enjoy. I'll probably be banging about in the Discord all night if anyone's lookin' for me. I will be back again on Monday and, delightfully, will be able to speak without incredibly pain and discomfort, so let's all look forward to that!

I am really, truly sorry for the last minute warning but it's truly because I've had an absolutely last minute spike in fever! I probably could stream, but I'm of the mindset it wouldn't be particularly fun for anyone, so I'm going to focus on recovery. Wednesday's stream is also mildly up in the air but I'll keep you posted. This is super unfortunate because I have a ton of cool plans and I really don't like randomly jumping out of my schedule - I have, up until now, only missed days on stream due to internet outages, emergencies, or VERY very well scheduled holidays - (I think?) but I guess this is a good moment to practice self-care because I do not like the idea of streaming on autopilot for 6 hours while trying not to die. I also respect you all enough to not give you that little energy because, ew. This is very unfortunate so I'm going to take the opportunity to share the love so I don't feel too bad about leaving you all high and dry. Specifically I'd like to ask you, in the downtime, to familiarize yourself with the Bug Friends (links in comments). They're my stream team, comprised exclusively of some of my favourite people on the platform, and there is absolutely something for everyone whether you're checking out a VOD or finding someone live. They are my favourites and they have my heart, much like all of you silly little bugs. Specifically, verybutter is live RIGHT NOW and even if they've ended by the time you read this post, I'm sure they've raided out to a channel equally as energetic and fun. I will be on my couch feeling very sorry for myself so if you wanted to post some funny stuff in the #memes channel or whatever that'd be greatly appreciated. Ideally, I'll see you guys tomorrow! There's a make-up stream for this in the future I swear. Also, God knows there's a few of my bloody yappings over on the VOD channel. Just don't try to talk to the VOD because you'll just confuse the time travellers.
