I bike-commuted today and I was in a hurry to get home while there was some light, so I hastily snapped a picture of the beautiful sunset that cheered me on my final stretch. #sunset

This #coyote was much larger than I remember coyotes being. Unfortunately, there was a couple hiking in the other direction that I spooked this guy into. They said it dashed right in front of them!

After lugging the rental camera and my long lens 4 miles, I found that I enjoyed macrophotography better. Glad I didn’t make the decision to buy a DSLR before learning that about myself. I think I’ll stick to borrowing when the moment strikes me. I did get a few good pictures with it though.

Along the hike, I saw a number of #mushrooms that were missing large chunks and I wondered what eats them. I found this #BananaSlug going to town on this one. Maybe that’s what gives them their mildly toxic slime? #BananaSlugClub
