Library Assistant, cute animal fanatic, amateur artist, writer (starting my creative writing MFA!), and retro game enjoyer. Pleased to meet you!
I remember reading illustrated Arthurian legends as a young boy. To be honest, I didn't care about the names or deeds depicted. I liked the concept of the round table, and seeing the knights sitting together. In that horrible house, to be respected and loved was a fantasy.

After all these years, I'm still a little unclear as to Darth Vader's feelings on sand. Has he warmed up to sand as a concept? Maybe a little more negative on it? Maybe about the same as before? The movies don't address it.

I'm just hooked on this album recently. As odd as it is in places, it's a finely crafted work of high art.

The 48 Laws of Power are very funny to me. Imagine going to a work meeting, taking a croissant from the tray, then smashing the last remaining one to bits while screaming, "#39! Stir up waters to catch fish!"

I've been bringing hard-boiled eggs to work and offering them to co-workers. None have accepted.

Patrick McGoohan was a neat dude. If you like Avant Garde late 60s stuff, check out his BBC show, The Prisoner. It was many decades ahead of its time.

This is the moment I've been waiting for: week two of my Creative Writing MFA. I decided to enroll around the end of December. Since then, it's been paperwork, policies, reminders, and introductions. Now, the education begins.

This old apartment is drafty as hell, which I really start to notice when it's 3 degrees and windy outside.

Still, it's the least expensive place I could find, only requiring 55% of my take-home pay. 😵‍💫

If you don't believe in alchemy, allow me to show you how to transmute 40 cents of Grade D potatoes into an expensive butter delivery platform and a big hunk of single-use plastic.

I know some people who are like, "Oh, I don't eat ice cream in winter," and I'm like, "Are you INSANE!?"

Does the Bluesky development roadmap include any girlybot prevention measures? Non-existent ladies, I'm just not that into you.

Regarding Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, yes, it is copaganda, but it is also radically anti-surveillance, anti-corruption, and pro class consciousness. For me, the main rub is that geopolitics cause all the problems and the righteous robo-SWAT always cleans up the mess.

I was just thinking, "The name 'loquat' implies the existence of a hiquat," and what do you know, I was right.

Did you know? "Oligarch" is a secret phrase used by the Illuminati. It can mean "hair clog," "rich goal," or "Oh, garlic!" (mostly used by vampires.)

It's not just Trump--no autocrat is wise or just enough to rule a nation. That's why, despite all the argle-bargle involved, we choose democracy.
A librarian from Chicago, a firefighter from LA, an unhoused person from Boston, and every other citizen, including you, form one heck of a Voltron.

The average US Senator makes an annual salary of about $174,000, so let's pin minimum wage to that.
