It was great to see Gabora back. Starting with Shin, I think I assumed that he was part of Ultraman's iconic roster that keeps coming back but he's been pretty quiet all things considered. Plus he's got some new tricks.

Man Zero's theme is so good, it just perfectly emphasizes whatever he's getting up to, either selling the feeling of going on a big multiverse-spanning adventure or the reassurance that our brave hero is here to save the day. One of my favorite Ultraman tracks.

Started Ultraman Geed!
Off to a pretty good start! The premise is interesting and Geed's first battle looked great. Kinda wish that the secret base looked a bit more convincing though.

Finished Ultraman Orb: The Movie!
It was a fun enough time, not my favorite tie-in movie by a long shot, kinda felt like one of the least cinematic and maybe a little disjointed, but also I am very susceptible to team-up hype. Seven steals the show.

Despite all the weirdness we've seen with the new batch of combiners, I absolutely loved Superion and Devastator. Which only makes me that much more excited for Bruticus. He's my favorite combiner of the lot and so far it looks pretty sweet.

Bael starts off as a bit of a Kylo Ren-Alike, but because they commit to bit so hard he manages to escape those comparisons for me and becomes his own spectacular train wreck that I really enjoyed.

Having finished Renegades I still really don't see why this had to be a Star Wars thing. The story feels so incredibly Destiny in every way that matters, sure there's some familiar SW tropes in the mix but it all feels very surface level, leaving me to still wonder why it's here.

Renegades is leagues better than Edge of Fate solely because the gameplay additions actually make the game more fun, not less.

Honestly I didn't really love it. The plot felt simultaneously muddled and stretched too thin, leading to an experience that felt sorta slow and boring, without doing much to deliver on what you'd expect from an Orb prequel series.

I really liked Chonoceros as a Kaiju, it's design manages to feel both like something familiarly animalistic while still being strange and exotic. Kinda thought the trip to the future would maybe have some larger revelations or more ominous threats? What we got was so small.

Halfway through the episode I was thinking "Where's Cosmos when you need him" but by the end it turns out telekinetic dinosaurs are pretty handy too.
