And I very much understand that the ending(s) hadn't been plotted out at that point and they were still toying with the idea of a dark energy ending. But man I think 3 needed to breathe and 2 didn't let it.

So I feel we either needed a game between 2 and 3 where we learn about the crucible and hunt it down or maybe mesh the two ideas together, the collectors are the antagonist but our goal is the prothean device, two birds one stone. Idk again I love it but it detracts from the reaper threat.

It forces the reapers to become a secondary threat, even with Harbinger throwing the same handful of lines at you, and we lose way too much story time trying to end the collectors .

As I play through the Mass Effect series i think I've come to the conclusion that as much as I absolutely love ME2 and it's been my favorite in the series for a very long time, I don't think it should have existed as is.
