Every time I try to play a AAA game I am reminded why I don't play AAA games often. It's so thrilling just sitting there staring at the download bar while it does a 2gb update the one time I try to play anything other than my favourite roguelikes.

Just landed back in England and my train home is cancelled. Nice to see nothing has changed in my absence :)

Espresso Martini appreciation post. Never tried one before my most recent holiday but I think it's become my favourite cocktail. Seems kind of obvious to fuse a love of great coffee with sweet cocktails.

Some of my favourite albums I've listened to this year. Found out I've been sleeping on Metallica and Muse all this time & discovered my 2 recent favourites in Arcade Fire & The Black Keys. This year's highlight has to be The Suburbs, with its criticisms of car-centric urban development.

Made a list of my favourite games of all time, in no particular order. Found it easy to put about 20 games on here, then had to think a bit harder to stretch it to 25.
