Reads more comics than anyone thought humanly possible.
You and I like the same stuff Pax. I've read the Orphan X novels. (Hurwitz has also written Moon Knight, Punisher and Foolkiller for Marvel if you're interested) and I just got Cobalt Blue from the library last week. @paxholley.com

Mike, The Kryptonian Age is only the first 6 issues of the story. DC split it up. The last issue of the 2nd half, A League for Justice, comes out in Dec. The first half was just OK, it feels long. @michaelmay.bsky.social

So I thought of a new episode idea while I was getting caught up with the Oct episodes. What about a Star Wars EU debate for Legends books versus the current, shittier books where absolutely nothing of consequence happens?

Introduced my nephew to Spike and Mike's Festival of Animation Saturday night. It was great to see it return after a couple of decades away. I remember going to the midnight shows throughout the 90s when it would come to St. Louis or Champaign.

Huh, A new Bride of Frankenstein film by Maggie Gyllenhaal with both her husband and brother in it plus Christian Bale as Frankenstein's monster. And it looks like they are some kind of Bonnie and Clyde in this.

Those Ultimate Spider-Man comics are great. So are Ultimates and Ultimate Black Panther. I think U Spidey is getting restarted after #24. Basically Hickman's leaving. It's the Maker's return. There's an event. He's been locked away for the last 2 years.

Those Ghost Machine comics are good. I'm buying them all monthly from my LCS. Most of the Geoff Johns ones are set in the same universe, except Rook Exodus and I think Hyde Street. The two Peter Tomasi comics are part of Family Odysseys. The art in every book is terrific.

Thanks for the recommendation for Daughters of Block Island. I quite enjoyed it. I think @michaelmay.bsky.social would really dig it too. A modern day gothic story. BTW, Block Island is a real place.

Just finished the latest After Midnight. I know you're locked into a lot of the comics, but you guys need to check out Locke & Key, Harrow County and The Sixth Gun. Actually you and @paxholley.com should do The Sixth Gun on Hellbent too if you ever do comics.

Brittney Williams also drew a Patsy Walker A.K.A. Hellcat series around the same time she drew those Goldie Vance comics. They should be on MU if you wanted to check them out.

BTW, I have been to Metropolis, IL. I grew up about an hour north of there. It's just a small river town with a statue of Superman in the middle of it and a museum. It's right off of I-24 across the river from Padukah, KY.

@grantbrisbee.bsky.social Don't know if you saw this but there's a great 5 minutes on minor league baseball on Last Week Tonight from Sunday. They're even doing a contest to rename a team. You should do a recurring segment on the Roundtable about the minors, right after talking about oats.

Great episodes with Monkey, Robot or Michael Caine. Talking about monkeys though always makes me recall the story about how my brother-in-law was once kidnapped by a monkey as a toddler. This is an honest to god true story.
