It's a cold, blowy day up here in North Bay. A bit of snow on the ground, and it's grey outside. All the more reason to play board games at the Tankard! We've also got MtG going on most days, and you can try out a Combat Patrol game of Warhammer 40k!

Moonstone is IN!! Well, kinda. I have to actually put it into inventory, and I've been lazy lately. But it's in the STORE. Come and check it OUT.

The holidays are sneaking up on us, and by sneaking I mean rushing like a freight train! We just put in a huge order for Moonstone, the game. It's a table top skirmish game with troupes of 3-5 minis (that's it) that is played in 3 rounds (that's it.) Check out our website next week to see them!

Game store here: nobody buys Monopoly, except as gifts. Then nobody plays it. It's a fundamentally bad game that you have absolutely no agency over. If you're lucky enough to land on the right spots early on, you will win. There's no skill, no choices, and no real fun. Bad game, 0/10

Long ago, in a bygone era, when computers produced only monochrome games, I discovered the Ultima series. The graphics? 8-bit, one colour. The sound? You can imagine it, tinny and sad, but the music was well-written. The story though... the story sucked me in and kept me there forever.
