Zine Trek 2025 continues with a super last minute entry - I've got Super Normal Study Club zines ready for TableCon Quest in Singapore this weekend, which you can also find online at ehronlime.itch.io/super-normal.... It's a game about teenagers investigating weird phenomena around town!

his is a tabletop RPG where you play as teenagers working together after (and sometimes during) school to explore the mysterious phenomena that occur around your town and keep the town safe from them.

You’ll need some pencils, some paper, and some rectangular erasers to play.

Dice and card games aren’t allowed in school. You can’t use pens until you get a Pen License.

You can play this game with around 4-5 people playing Students, and one player as the Schoolmaster. The Schoolmaster should have some sticky tape and various other stationery.

The game takes place in a town that you’re all somewhat familiar with, but a little different.

Choose a town that you’re all familiar with and print out a map of it. Cut that map into four sections, shuffle them around, spin them around, and tape them onto a larger piece of paper with some space in between each section.

Work together to draw connections between the different sections of the map in a way that makes sense.

This is the map of your town. Give it a name.

The Schoolmaster chooses a location for the school you all attend.

hen you’re unsure about details of how things should go, you can Play To Find Out.

To do so, choose one or more of the minigames below. Each player advocates for how they think the situation should unfold and wagers on the outcome of the game.

Paper football
Battleship
Eraser battle
Pencil spin
Draw a cool “S”
Any minigame using the tools you have

The Schoolmaster starts a countdown, and you play the minigame until the countdown completes. Determine the outcome of the situation based on the minigame results.

When things get dangerous and/or weird, you have to Take A Test. Multiple players can Take A Test at the same time.

The Schoolmaster writes down 1-3 questions related to the situation with no clear answer, randomly assigning either “A”, “B”, “C”, or “D” as the answers to the questions, without assigning any meaning to the choices.

Each player involved then chooses an answer for each question, giving suggestions for what that might mean. If players want to use the same suggestion, they choose the same answer. If the players get an answer, their meaning becomes true. Otherwise, the Schoolmaster provides a meaning and applies a Condition.
