I think most of my problems with "modern" pokemon game design is just that I think choosing how to invest your time is a legitimate application of skill in a video game

For all the flaws in pokemons jump to 3d and how that manifests in the huge downgrade from a lot of 2d sprites to 3d models I am constantly delighted any time I play a 3ds game at how much detail they put into the amie models whenever I catch a pokemon i've never used on a team before

Having a vagina is genuinely so annoying bc you can’t just see a doctor about it like hell NO I am not going to sign up for medieval torture bc of the past couple centuries of medical discrimination over a slight concern

One of the funniest bits from the new defunctland to me that I haven't seen anyone mention yet is just the hard cut from reading the company advertising their product as being as powerful as turtle talk without the price tag to this horrible cgi fish being like "what makes you precious...answer me"

I read pokespe before I actually played a pokemon game and when lance showed up in heart gold I was just waiting for the other shoe to drop the entire time like up to and including beating him at the end of the game I was so sure he was gonna drop his plans for worldwide destruction at some point

Ik people bring up arbok getting cut in half as the "oh pokespe was so violent" thing but like thats not even the most fucked up thing involving agatha in the series tbh I think the part where she traps blue and koga in a nightmare maze and koga's golbat has to drink his blood to survive was worse
