People outside the NRL really have spent the year understimating just how much more engaged the NRL fanbase is this year. Its been apparent since Vegas, carried through Magic Round and Origins and then capped off with a stellar finals series.

While strictly not comparable due to VOZ system changes - I also believe this is the highest Grand Final rating for the NRL - or AFL - since the Oztam system change in 2001.

Im pretty sure the #NRL Grand Final is the highest rating program since the Womens World Cup. Smashed the AFL Grand Final this year - beating it for the first time since 2015.

The latest data from Roy Morgan shows NRL Grand Finalist the Brisbane Broncos are Australia’s most widely supported NRL club for a second straight year with 1,271,000 supporters. The Storm come in second, far ahead of the Roosters in third.
