Again, this isnt some objective critic, and i dont know how id go about fixing this, im no game designer. Take what im saying with a grain of salt, this is just my thoughts on a game i otherwise completely adore. Im just kinda yelling about aspects of it i feel hold the game back

Both rosaries and shards feel incredibly difficult to gather in any meaningful amount without spending 20 minutes farming every time you need to buy something or run out

I dont tend to lose my much of the time either when i die, so this isnt me complaining because i keep losing it. Things worth buying just a ridiculous amount of money, enough that you just wont be making thru normal gameplay

Pharloom's economy across the board is just fucked tbf. Like i understand it makes sense narratively, but gameplay wise everything is so goddamn expensive that it feels like you need to grind to afford just about anything. Even rosarie cashes late game drop uh, 30 rosaries half the time

Honestly, even just buffing the amount of shards enemies drop across the board would be a massive help. If farming up a decent amount didnt take so goddamn long id tolerate it. Most enemies drop like, 5 or some shit. Thats not even enough for 1 use of most tools

Im sure theres probably a mod that makes crafting more tools free, but that would be so broken with architect that itd feel like cheating. Idk i wish there was a better solution yknow

Is there a blue tool or something that reduces the shard cost of crafting tools? I dont know, i havent found all of the blue tools. If so thatd be HUGE, but if there isnt, there really should be

It sucks so much ass when im fighting and dying to a boss over and over, and run out of shards. Having to leave and farm more forever adds nothing to the game but tedium and frustration. Idk its not, like an OBJECTIVELY bad mechanic or anything, nothing is, but it pisses me off to no end

Gotta say, i really dont like shards as a mechanic in silksong. I understand its meant to be a limit on using tools, but we already have that, its called there usage limits. All it does functionally is add yet another currency i need to grind for

I told myself i was going to use a crest other than architect this playthru. Issue is, i have 3/4 memory slots unlocked on it and ladies, it sings its forbidden song to me. The funny drill, the 3 red slots, the ability to craft tools mid fight, i hear its song... how can i fight it???
