Connecting with resources that are supportive and meaningful is so tricky when access is limited sometimes there is such a wait period or assessed based on need, that people get discouraged. And how can ya not be… people who haven’t had to struggle in this way, find it hard to empathize. ❤️

It should be a system set up to reward people who earn or develop independence. It is underfunded. Everything that is a social safety net is when we have such a capitalist society. I worked for many years in mental health and transition to community health, so I’ve seen some terrible injustice. ❤️
