and I guess technically all vore is cannibalism if you really think about it, but cannibalism has a more realistic element as its more likely to be gorey and can actually be done irl. Vore tends to be lower stakes in some cases as its a bit more cartoonish in that regard

I think for me its the emphasis on eating one whole versus eating one‘s flesh. Cannibalism has a really heavy emphasis on eating one’s flesh, where vore usually has someone getting swallowed whole (with some exceptions). I’d say some vore does cross into being cannibalism by that definition…
