yeah i'd get that much, but only advertising at conventions was rlly dropping the ball i think. also thats literally how it feels between that and the english dub. was SAMG lied to? what are the qualifications? and where can i find these cool jobs with 0 qualifications? lol

and of course it's all new box art, but yeah we dont have any actual photos yet of what exactly we're getting LOL. but i trust SAMG will only improve it from their first runs, and again, its stuff like yellow VS blue eyes, gold paint vs yellow plastic, etc.

pretty much overall. aside from the weapon cards having no text (or new names?) The product photos used for shadow X look like the original version and not the chinese version w better paint. but its a new factory run so it may have its own new variations. but variations have mostly been minor

maybe then we'll actually get product photos (if they're using stock imagery why not upload it for the rest of them?) SAMG is such a big company in Korea idk how they're flopping so hard with the US

there was never discussion in regards to this from anyone official. They're a very large part of the character design, and what makes them unique, so they'de kill the line for MCB fans in the US doing that. They're quite easy to modify though. 2 toys can currently hide the eyes (Flame Nova, Tigun.)

their name would be printed on the weapon card included. in the photos, it looks like no name is printed on the card. i wouldnt mind the name changes if they were decided by actual writers or something lol. Also, this is a new factory run in the US and there may be differences in color and quality

I will be upset if we do not get full-gold paint black hook but every other regional difference for the rest of the characters in wave 1 have been similar enough. Although Heavy Iron's weapon card either being light or dark blue is a fairly big difference (I like both)

A huge selling point for me was that they didn't put the new terrible names on the weapon cards (although I was kinda looking forward to Blue Star.) However, this could be that the images are not final, and the final cards may have the names. In which case I will be upset but I'll risk it.

man i miss toys r us. id be spending all my money there if the one on my route home from work was still around. Fond memories of getting almost all of the animal crossing and kirby amiibos when they were on sale for half off. bring back toy and video/game rental stores

For anyone curious, this is the in-store treatment Metal Cardbot gets in South Korea at a Toys R' Us. Sure, it doesn't help that the US doesn't have toy stores anymore outside of Walmart and Target's toy aisles and a few specialty stores at the Mall. But we are really getting the bootleg experience.

im addicted to MCB so i hunt the tags everyday on twitter lol. most info was shared at toy fair and botcon, and only put online by fans who attended. and all the recent stuff is on botcon's twitter or the new MCB facebook page. SAMG was at botcon and had a QnA. will link those threads in the reply:

im ordering a metal breath/brace toy cuz i want one and to see if the US weapon cards work with it. i'd imagine since theyre not selling the brace in the US that they might just remove any NFC chips to save on minimal costs. but worth a try. theyve been compatible between regions i believe

i've never delt with agabyss/botcon stuff before but the name changes and 0 toy photos this far into things has been a huge concern. when asked "are there any variations like btwn korea n china" they said they dont know. you're literally the ones selling them???!??

a lot of mcb fans have had their heads in their hands over every decision SAMG has made regarding US/english releases of the cartoon and toys. they say they're going to put more effort in if it "does well" so may change distribs; but how will it do well when the only audience is niche toy collectors
