finishing up week 3, starting week 4, of shingles. i’ve burned through all of my sick leave and most of my pto and dosed myself on SO MANY pain meds to celebrate a dear friend’s wedding this weekend.

Back at work and it still feels like a knife in my ribs but at least the pain meds are dulling it

attending the wedding of a dear friend from college and it might possibly be the cutest wedding i’ve ever been to. i am incandescently happy for the couple and also blindingly jealous of how much they adore each other

(i am also slightly loopy from how many pain meds i took so i could be here)

Had a follow up with a doctor. Am officially not contagious. Returning to work Monday.

Still in pain though. A lot of pain. Someone tell me when the pain stops.

that feeling when your anxiety and your ptsd meld together so you have to have multiple people proofread your message to your supervisors for your sick leave request because you were diagnosed with a very real, incredibly painful af medical issue but you still worry about being an inconvenience
