STW is more focussed than ever on selecting projects equitably. Ensuring that we are supporting groups who are oppressed by the colonial empires exploiting our planet. If you know of projects working to counteract the aggression of the US election, please forward this on. We see you. Love STW 💚🦋
Our mission: Start the Wave is a non-profit organisation and movement that funds, supports and connects wavemakers worldwide. By funding and amplifying projects creating change on the ground, Start the Wave supports sustainable action rooted in love and liberation. FUNDING PROJECTS: Start the Wave prioritizes projects working with an intersectional and community-based approach led by folx from the global majority/BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and other people of colour), Disabled (Seen and Unseen) and TGNCI (transgender, gender non-conforming, intersex) people. OUR PILLARS: Our pillars are the areas that we choose to focus on at Start the Wave. They are our foundation and what holds us up. We fund and amplify projects that fall under the following rainbow of change: Love & Kindness, Creativity & Healing, Equality & Anti-Oppression, Our Environment, Unity & Oneness, Conscious Consuming, and Pride.
