Like! It's sad if people really are forgetting or being made to feel that hobbies are pointless. That sounds miserable and also like a breeding ground for unhealthy habits waiting to happen. Life is especially uncertain and scary right now, respect yourself and don't feed into it. Anyway.

I started getting aggravated (and a little disappointed) again over a thing I saw about hobbies being expensive. Which ofc there were MANY suggestions of free ones, like bird watching and hiking. Unsurprising, I'm biased for sketching cause its equally as cheap as it is easy to pick up and do.

Anyway, even if I didn't have a tightwad for a grandpa to learn from, I get pretty anxious about being wasteful in general. So when I caught myself having an interest in resin crafts a long while back, that thankfully fizzled out, and that was before I did research.

The irony of not only loving to write stories while also reading at college level, but failed English class in both middle AND high school. Ofc I graduated in the end, but that one F in middle school followed me to the very end and made everything harder than it needed to be. Among other things.

Drawing will always be my main one, no matter how much burnout, Imposter Syndrome, and perfectionism rears their ugly heads. Will I ever make it my job one day like I dreamed of as a kid? No clue at this point! But whether I wanna make it my 9 to 5 is a different story now, for another time.
