Because they usually hide it. My finest example of thus was seeing the gother than thou scene queen marry the gother than thou scene king...and within a year he wanted her to pivot to being an obedient housewife. He cheated on her, too. She dumped him fast, thankfully.

I came out in HS in 1994. So late Gen X. And let's just say coming out in 94, AIDS made a giant imprint on the young gays then. You didn't see older gay men. There were so few 30-40 gays in the mid 90s. Everyone was older, or us younger ones.
