My understanding is that the rights will go to @mattielubchansky.com, creator of Dilbert.
In cases like this, where does the property go? Right back to the publisher, the nearest cousin, or a fast-track to public domain?

@tkingfisher.com I just finished reading 'A Sorceress Comes to Call', which was a heart-wrenching delight of a book, and have to say that I have never enjoyed an author's acknowledgement more. Your horse riding tale explains a lot about why Brindle loves oxen so much. Thank you for all you write!
