Yesterday, at our 10.30 am Choral Eucharist, the Reverend Canon Mark Haworth was commissioned as Cathedral Chaplain. Mark will support the mission and ministry of the Cathedral. Please pray for Mark as he begins this new ministry among us.

A few weeks ago, to celebrate Cathedrals at Night, we tried out the capabilities of our LED lighting system on the tower and created a new look for the Tower!

Yesterday was a special day at the Cathedral! We celebrated the Feast of Edmund with installations of our new Honorary Canon, The Reverend Paul Tams and new Lay Canon, Zeb Soanes. Valerie Moore was installed into the Order of St Edmund and Kevin Wilson as Diocesan Registrar.

Our Pram Service is at 10.15 am on select Fridays in the Lady Chapel and lasts for about 10 minutes. We share a short Bible story, a song and a simple prayer. Join us for our next short services on Friday 14 November and 12 December.

Canon Mark joined Wayne Bavin from BBC Suffolk yesterday as part of their #1000milechallenge. Mark walked a mile 'three-legged' with Wayne before handing over to another Mark - from Our Bury St Edmunds - for the next mile!

Together on Tuesday: A short, informal communion service for anyone who might find a longer service difficult but enjoys singing and praising God. Suitable for those with dementia and their carers.
