Was thinking about why the latest Lex Luther produced annoyance in me rather than the awe/fear I felt when I was young. I think the adage of "never meet your heros" applies to villains as well. We've met the folks dismantling society (Musk, Putin, Zuck, Bezos) and they are profoundly underwhelming

Star Trek SNW getting some shade because some of its episodes were wierd. Personally, I'd rather have a show that treis new things and misses sometimes rather than palying it safe all the time. Four.five Vulcans was comedy gold, and the Terrarium was an instant classic. Solid season. #starTek #SNW

Finished up Andor S2 last night. Fantastic political drama, great worldbuilding, and characters you loved/despised/epathized with. Like The Dark Crystal series a few years ago, I'm not sure we'll ever see another SW show like it.

With Prime removing Seasons 1-3 of The Expanse, and with the golden age of streaming over, I've re-started purcahsing physical media, starting with the #expanse boxed set. Its too good of a show not to be able to share it with who I want.

@bsky.app is starting to feel like the old place did back in the aughts. Lots of enthusiastic folks skeeting about things they loved and wanted to share + harmless banal posts about whatever...I'd forgotten social media can be fun.
