Agreed. But what is it? Cowardice? Denial? Political strategy (downplaying while preparing war)? In training, if I get punched in the face, it’s called "getting punched in the face", not a “hybrid” or “gray” hit in the face. Why not call things what they are? I just don’t understand this behavior.
