Life be happening including my mom having a stroke and having T2 diabetes with me being her primary caregiver.

This experience has opened my eyes to so many more aspects about the cruelty built into the healthcare system in the US for capital gains.

I'm all for trying lifestyle changes first. Would rather give my money first to farmers than big pharma if possible.
Yikes! Will probably see more egg surcharges as long as H5N1 bird flu is an issue.

Going egg-free nowadays is actually easier than before. I'm allergic to eggs and had to give them up decades ago.

Glad to hear you found a cure! Totally get doing dietary change for health reasons. Had a similar thing. I genetically have high cholesterol. Doc wanted to put me on statins but I wanted to try going plant-based first. So far so good. Plus it's been good for my sensitive digestive system.
I doctor pre-made food all the time cause I want to tweak it just a bit to get a bit more of the flavor and texture I want. This Trader Joe's chili has butternut squash, sweet potatoes, and pumpkin puree which I don't want to cook from scratch. My add-ins also doubled the chili so I get more food.😃
I really wish I could get completely off of Meta platforms. Ghosting my IG and Threads. I can't leave Facebook because that's where both sides of the family and in the Philippines use so I need to for keeping in touch. Really terrible and sad where Zuck has taken things.
Thank you so much! All I have left is a lingering cough that comes and goes in spurts. It also starts when I talk too much which is another reason I haven't been able to do any videos without coughing yet. 😆 Whatever strain of flu this is it's a doozy so I've been encouraging others to stay safe!

I've been trying to eat more of the high protein pastas made with like chickpea or lentil flours or mixtures of various non-wheat flours, but I'm having a hard time liking the texture. It's too gummy to me.

This Barilla version is great because the small addition of durum wheat makes it not gummy.
Lunch: Black bean and TVP chili high protein pasta bake with green salad. #plantbased #vegan

My latest favorite pasta is Barilla Protein+ Rotini. It's made with Lentil, Chickpea, Barley, and Spelt Flours with Pea Protein but it has some Durum Wheat too so it's texture is more like regular pasta.
